American Freight Carrier was established in 1984. We were one of the first logistic companies on the east coast to provide a multifaceted selection of transportation services. Since then the business has been built by providing modern transportation solutions with reliable old fashion valued services.
As opportunities for third parties increased we expanded our truckload services to Canada and Mexico. American Freight was one of the first logistics company to convert over the road freight to inter-modal with great success. Rail services were dependable and it allowed companies cost saving freight transportation.
Today we have contracts with thousands of major truckload carriers, and four rail services to always ensure a consistent availability of equipment. Current services include truckload less than truckload local, inter-modal, container drayage, warehousing and worldwide services.
In addition to our major commercial customers we provide transportation services for the United States Government. American Freight moves weekly shipments for the Department Of Homeland Security and the Department Of Defense. We provide van services as well as specialized flatbed and drop deck services for over size and over weight shipments.
Our staff utilizes state of the art transportation programs, which enables quick and efficient load booking, shipment tracing and scheduling. American Freight Carrier goes beyond picking up and delivering shipments safely and on time. We tailor our services towards each customer's needs by providing the best available rates and equipment.
